Slipcast pipes in a variety of colours, both in terms of the base clay colour as well as the glaze. Most of this batch are glazed in Storm Blue with different clay colours, but there are others in the set as well

The making process can be seen here. Unlike most of my other work, these aren’t thrown on the wheel. Instead, they’re made using a plaster mould and liquid clay. This allows for precise repetition of the design and for the clay colour to be changed far more easily than with the thrown pieces.

The pipes are approx 5cm x 11cm. They have a carb hole in the base, which I picked as a location because it’s ambidextrous and allows for easy cleaning of the pipe. The pipes have a flat back so will sit horizontal, and a flat base so can be stood upright when not in use. There are 4 smaller holes rather than one larger hole in the bowl as in testing this seemed to be less likely to block or allow anything solid through. They’re lined with a clear, food safe glaze on the inside.

Obviously these are for smoking whatever is legal in your country.

There were a handful of pieces than had minor cosmetic issues with the external glaze, these are available as seconds for a slightly discounted price.

If you have a preference for a style of piece than please add it as a note to the order at checkout, but the selection is limited and on a first-come-first-served basis, so please only order if you would also be happy with a different design.

Design requests will still be allocated based on order sequence though, so it’s best to get your order placed as soon as possible if you have a request.

These will be shipped ASAP to allow the maximum time for delivery. If you want to place an Order Request Lottery order and combine the shipping (when the order request pieces are made), please add a note to the Lucky Dip order or contact me afterwards, otherwise there’s a chance I’ll have shipped the Lucky Dip before the Order Request Lottery is drawn!
